Core astronomical and calendrical utilities come from the open-source stem-branch project (Apache-2.0). Sino Taoism Readings adds an explicit place/time-zone wrapper and result presentation.

The Da Yun direction, adjacent-Jie start-age convention, and regression cases were cross-checked against the MIT-licensed bazi-skill project . Its Beijing-only runtime and automatic interpretive prompt are not embedded in this site.

The Zi Wei calculation generates a natal twelve-palace chart while keeping Chinese identifiers as the primary reference. The interface adds English orientation labels, automatic birthplace-time correction, privacy-first handling, and a printable technical chart.

The data-normalization and twelve-palace presentation were informed by the MIT-licensed ziwei-doushu project . Its interpretive dataset and automated life-reading text are not included in this version.

The online cast follows the common three-coin method: heads count 3 and tails count 2. Six is old yin, seven young yang, eight young yin, and nine old yang. Six and nine are moving lines and reverse polarity in the resulting hexagram.

Lines are recorded from bottom to top. Trigram patterns are mapped to the conventional King Wen sequence of 64 hexagrams. Random coin values are generated by the browser’s cryptographic random-number facility; the question and cast are not transmitted.

The free result stops at structural identification and short thematic keywords. It does not compute Yong Shen, Shi/Ying, Six Relations, date strength, response timing, or a definitive outcome.
